Miami's electro-pop duo Afrobeta have been tearing up dance floors in their hometown since 2006. The Miami New Times even awarding them Best Band in 2010 and Best Album in 2011 for "Under The Streets." Cuci Amador and Smurphip formed Afrobeta as a means to attain ultimate form of artistic self expression. Their mutual love of classic songwriting and dancing till 5am inspired them to make music together.
After the success of their EP, Do You Party? and Play House, featuring remixes by Larry Tee, Alexander Technique and Junior Sanchez the band released their debut full length album "Under The Streets." The thirteen tracks will undoubtedly ignite dance-floors around the world. Their unique (and eclectic) sound transcends genre classifications. Cuci's rapid fire delivery, combines with Smurphio's funky synths and head-bopping bass lines will keep you moving from start to finish.
Since 2010 the band has taken their joyous beats and dazzling live shows across the nation and abroad! Performing at the 40th Anniversary Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, Burning Man, Fall Fashion Week in New York, Ultra Brazil, Space Ibiza, Ultra Music Festival, Camp Bisco and Identity Festival a 20+city Summer Tour. The band has rock alongside, Trentemoller, Booka Shade, Hercules and Love Affair, The Crystal Method, Annie Mac, Holy Ghost!, Nero, Kaskade and Bloody Beetroots.

Cuci, who is also an actress and performer, co-wrote, sang on the Calle 13 single "Electro Movimiento and guest starred on the video. The video reached number 11 on the US Billboard Latin Rhythm chart and was nominated for Video of The Year at the 2009 MTV Latin Video Music Awards.
Smurphio (known for his frenetic fingers and impressive towering mane) was Pitbull's touring keyboardist for a number of years until deciding to focus full-time on the Afrobeta project.
