UMF 2009 was the most fun i’ve had, and i said that the year before and the year before. As others have posted as soon as i am in the Miami airport waiting to go back to Phoenix I cannot wait till next WMC/UMF.

Dano, the best place to stay is by the beach…mainly Collins Ave. or in that vacinity. Plan and reserve early…before December! Anywhere worth staying will be booked by the end of January! Plus prices will hike for Ultra tickets and hotels as the dates near.

Last year I came home and told people that Ultra and WMC were beyond words. I love the new design of the site because it is the closest thing to being there. Last year was my first year and I was blown away. This year is going to be off the hook. I cannot wait for dates to be announced so I can book a nice spot on South Beach, go to Ultra each day and Club all night. There is no sleep when there is Ultra!

For those wondering….tickets usually start going on sale in December. And dates and phase 1 lineup usually announced in December as well.
Typically its a weekend in late March.

My first UMF was the 2006 edition and I came for the my fave band, The Killers and the immense and diverse line-up.
It was then I realized how amazing UMF was. The people are so nice, the crowd is awesome and Miami….well, there just isn’t words to describe the beautiful city of lights and sounds….
The performances that year were beyond amazing (The Killers dazzled and had that crowd dancing & jumping, not to mention, an audience equal in size to Paul Oakenfold’s along with lots of celebs watching their set) and it was then as I walked out the gates that I knew UMF was one of the best music festivals on Earth.
3rd time was the charm for as UMF ‘09, as all UMF’s, was fantastic!!!
My best friend may be making the trip from TX to come here for UMF…..show her what the hell you’re made of Ultra!!!!! ;D
Btw, the setlist is above and beyond the best every year so I only ask you to consider inviting The Killers, Crystal Castles and Editors to the party, please!

Been going to UMF for about ten years now. They used to have it in Bayfront Park before they moved to Bicentennial. Every year is a new experience. Keep up the good vibes and AMAZING technology. Missed last year but was there in ‘08. Definitely looking forward to this year.

Ultra is usually held the last weekend of March along with Winter Music Conference. It is held at Bicentennial Park near Bayside. You can get a hotel near Bayside and be near the festival or you can get a hotel in South Beach and be near the clubs. There are several Party Hotels that you can book, but book early!

Gonna be my 4th Ultra this year. This event changed the way i view partying. Truly one of the best dance events this part of the northern hemisphere, and trust me, iv been to plenty. i cant waitt!! the countdown continues.
for all those people coming from out of state, or out of country,to party at Ultra in miami, Book hotels not on the beach, there expensive and hard to find reservations around the time of Ultra, considering its a big event, get them closer to the city, considering downtown is right in between both city and beach, you wont be far from the action. take it from someone born and raised in the MIA.

ummm… the offical dates for wmc 2010 have been released so call me crazy but i’m booking my hotel room already. and for people comming from out of town… book hotels downtown miami, biscayne blvd is the street where the festival is so anything downtown on biscayne should be pretty close, you will have to google earth it for the exact address but its in bicentennial park or has been for the last few years

Anyway it’s Bulgarian folklore singing, which is very rare and hard to do correctly. It’s really old style and it’s usually mostly vocal with light melody. By itself not so attractive but mixed like that… well you know. haha yes I’m bulgarian

Wow, 6 months away. I remember last year when my roommate first told me about this Miami event, i said WTH lets go for it. So in March, after i got out of class we drove 1000 miles partied for 72 hours and drove 1000 miles back and i was back in class monday morning. Fing awesome time cant wait for the 2010 edition
